Pimps and Hos

Kimberly takes her role as matchmaker seriously. She has been working behind the scenes for a while now, talking to a friend at work. She’s been talking about me. I had no idea this was going on. With my permission, she shared my E-mail address with him. I’m trying to be open-minded.

We’ve been talking via E-mail for the last few weeks. He is intriguing, passionate, and funny. Our worldviews seem to align. I am having so much fun with these daily jewels in my inbox. I’m almost afraid to meet him. Maybe he’s only idyllic behind a computer screen.

We are planning to go on a double-date with Kim and Brandon next week. She doesn’t even hook up and ditch. She’s in it for the long haul. She’s even willing to chaperone my dates.

Wish us luck. If it doesn’t work out, I’m sure that Kimberly has someone else in mind!

sherry, I'm really happy for you! I hope your e-mail friend turns out to be idyllic in real life too. Be careful, but don't count a guy out on account of e-mail. I've heard it can be a really good way to meet someone special. ;)

p.s. In response to Meagan's comments, her last sentence was written before it was appropriate to remove the word "practically." :) I believe it should now read, "and they are dating!!"
