My life has become so beautifully simple.
It's a life of nursing, poopy diapers, and coveting sleep. It seems mundane and too simple, but really it's not. Feeding you and changing your diapers and rocking you to sleep is the most meaningful calling I've ever had. I'm in charge of keeping a human being alive and well and secure, after all. That's huge. Nurturing you is my greatest joy.
The scope of my world has become so narrow, but it has also broadened. Being a mom means caring about the future in a way I never have before. It means caring about the environment and politics and goodness just a little bit more.
I want good things for you--that means plenty of poopy diapers and world peace.

Not exactly narrow.
