We'd been chatting for a few minutes. Our conversation hadn't gone much beyond, "Do you come here often?" and "Are you from around here?" He said, "You're a teacher aren't you? An English teacher, right?" I looked to my friends, laughing, and they gave me innocent looks, swearing they had nothing to do with it.
The rest of the night, we played "Guess My Profession." After talking to somebody new for a few minutes, I asked him to play our game. Three out of four of the men guessed, on the first guess, what I do for a living. They all assured me it wasn't a "look," but a personality. I'm not sure what that means.
When the fourth man guessed "fashion designer," "baker," and "in finance," random though they may be, I almost went home with him.
Sometimes, I just need to not be a teacher.

Hehehe.
There are worse flags you could be wavin' i.e. stripper, pole dancer, construction worker, etc. B
Try waving your freak flag.
Really?
I used to find that saying, "I'm an elementary school teacher" would draw them right in. ;)
Maybe it's an elementary teacher thing? haha.
Wave that flag and be proud, girl.
Haha! That was so funny, I still can't believe all those people knew what you did!
