So, I have this friend. She doesn't like to see me sad, and she does her best to "fix" it. That's just how she is.
She filled out a personality profile on eHarmony for me a few days ago. The whole time I was saying, "Wait! You can't just fill one of these out for somebody else! That's totally not the answer I would have given!" My pleas fell on deaf ears, and she just kept toiling away. Really, I think her answers were better than mine, anyway.
It's actually been fun. I've only had an account for a few days, so all of the communication is in its first stages. It feels hopeful. I like hopeful.
There's this thing, though. I'm sensitive, and eHarmony requires a little bit of a thick skin. You see, if you don't want somebody to show up in your matches, you have to close communication with that person. There's no way to just "hide" the profile, so I keep getting e-mails from people I haven't contacted letting me know that they have "closed communication" with me. I always get a little offended.
How dare they?

I did eharmony for almost a year and had a blast. Went on some interesting dates. Dated doctors and professional gamers. Ha! But yes, you have to toughen up. I guess they may feel the same when you "close communication" with them, too. Have fun!
:) Hehehe.
Cute post :) I want to hear stories about the guys you have "communication" with. Who are they?
I joined eharmony to find you, but I guess we weren't a match.
Just so you know, I've been matched with all kinds of ladies, but not you. WTF?!
Apparently, you're serious. I'm sorry to hear we're not compatible, Jess. I'm still willing to give it a try, though. Sometimes you have to ignore logic and follow your heart.
Did you find your phone? I didn't get your message (since it was on my home phone) until after the fact.
Ok, I totally was on eharmony on and off for a couple of years. It was a great experience for me. If nothing else, the chance to communicate with people you might not otherwise meet is good. I had a good time with it! I didn't meet my Mr. Right that way (because our families set us up via email) but still it was a great experience. All I can say is take it rather lightly and enjoy it! And ignore those guys who close you too soon - they don't know what they are missin'!
