Beastly Hero Stories

I'm still grading the stories they turned in last Monday. 

I had them do a peer-editing/sharing activity where they had to read two other students' stories. I just shook my head as they cried, "This is way too much reading" and "This takes forever." I smiled and said, "Are you understanding (just a little bit) why it takes me a few days to get your papers back?"

As I grade, I'm reading through the comments they wrote on each other's stories--things like "Beast!" and "If this story was a person, it would be a G." Apparently my comments aren't cutting it for them, and I need a little more edge. 

I'll work on that.
