I finally sanded and painted my dining room table. I've been talking about painting it since my mom handed it down to me when I moved to college. It doesn't look like every mom's oak, dining room table from the 80's anymore. Yesss. I'm so excited to not have it constantly covered with a table cloth.
Using my teapot from Anne for my inspiration, I also painted my kitchen. I like the fresh, funky, retro feel. As Breanna and I were picking out paint colors, I kept saying, "Is this Martha Stewart Blue?" I think I found it.
When I finish making this house perfect, this is where I want to live. Look at the pictures. This is, no doubt, my dreamiest of dream homes.
Thanks for putting up with my repetitive project posts. It feels good to post about them when they're finished! :)

Nice work. And you're right, that house you linked to is incredible. Except for the kitchen. Those tiles make me think of a public restroom, which means I'd always have to go to the living room or something before I could sip my lemonade.
Come do some cool shit at my place.
Having painted oak, do you think we will have to sand our bookcases before we paint them? That would be sucky...
Yes, I definitely think you would have to sand them. We have an electric sander, if you guys don't have one. I would be happy to help you, but just know that it's a huge project. Sanding aside, the table took many, many coats of paint. Maybe when you have next summer off and the wedding's over? I think they would look AMAZING the color of my table! Most people would die for those built in bookshelves!
I'm so excited about my new bridesmaid dress, by the way. They're so cheap AND classy :) Way to go Ann Taylor!
I looked at that amazing house again. I think I was too tired last time, because the kitchen doesn't really look like a bathroom. It actually looks pretty good. I could drink lemonade in there just fine.
Michael, I'm glad you rethought your position. I like the subway tile in the kitchen. I do know what you mean, though :) Did you notice that it's sale pending at nearly $800,000? It's a two-bedroom one-bath house. Welcome to the Bay Area.
