Elisabeth Elliot would be so disappointed in me. I know that I’m supposed to be mysterious and modest, but there comes a time when a woman’s patience has expired. When she feels that she needs to take things into her own hands. When she longs for candid honesty. And then she falls. Hard. And she’s embarrassed. And alone. And wishing that she had listened to Mrs. Elliot’s wise words.

I love Elisabeth...she's so refined, and yet nso darn sassy.
That's what makes her one of my all-time favorites.
Too bad I'm continually learning what it means to keep a quiet heart...especially when it comes to stinkin boys.
:-)
Happy New Year Sherry.
I don't get it....
Ps - Who is Mrs. Elliot, BTW?
Oh, you are telling me about her right now. She sounds like an old Fuddy Duddy.
Wow. Three comments in 8 minutes. Fuddy Duddy or no, I respect her in a big way. In fact, Passion and Purity is on the "top shelf" of my book shelf. Had I followed her Fuddy Duddy ways, I wouldn't be feeling so stupid today! She advocates holding our tongues, being mysterious, and having quiet spirits. Isn't that funny, in light of what you know about me?? :)
I love you and your honesty.
Sherry, I am a big fan of you and your honesty as well. I hope that you are granted the mysterious peace of Phil. 2, that God would bring to you a man worth your time and that Ms. Elliot's words become easier to live out. I hope you are well.
I think I officially dislike this Elisabeth chick. She likes her women sedated.
Don't be too hard on yourself. :) Mrs Elliott has had someone most of her life, and has never been single this day in age. It's tough.
