Dear Sherry,
Thanks for the money, I'll be sure to use it wisely. I would also like to thank you for giving me more money than Roxanne [my sister]. This probably means that you love me more than she does.

HA! That's awesome.
Hey Sherry :)
Very special card - that is certainly a keeper. It sounds like you had a fun trip. I look forward to catching up soon.
Love you,
Stephanie
Wow... I haven't looked at your blog in a couple of weeks... and you have been blogging it up. Good stuff. Sounds like you had a good vacation. You are going to make Ashland famous for flies.
About public schools. I think that lady was just trying be witty with the dog comment - didn't work. I think it is on a case by case basis. Lumping all public schools together is not fair or smart. There are really bad public schools - I would not send my kids to several of the schools I have subbed at here in Louisville. But I have also seen public schools that were excellent. I think it depends on where you live and what the options are. But public schools are really locally controlled, and it is unwise to make banket statements against them I think.
Mark,
I totally agree with you. Her harsh langauge and sweeping generalizations came across as a nasty attack. I don't like that woman (ha...I'm making generalizations based on one statement), but I don't have anything against homeschool done well. Or public school done well. Or private school done well. I will seek the best (whole)eduation for my children, and they will be educated in the environment that works best for our family. At this time, I honestly have no idea what that will be. Is it funny to anyone else that I'm referring to my children?
