I'm going to be a momma come August... 

I'm going to be a momma come August. 

I have to keep reminding myself that, at the end of all of this puking and exhaustion and emotional craziness, there will be a baby. When people ask me questions like, "What names do you like?" or tell me, "You're going to be an amazing mom," I'm taken off guard because I forget that, beyond the insanity of this moment, there's going to be a baby--a person.

Right now, my life is pregnancy, not motherhood. I'm hoping that soon, very soon, my energy will be focused on preparing for you, Sweet Baby, not whether or not I'll make it to the toilet in time.

The end of this week starts week fourteen. The magic number, perhaps. My fingers are crossed. Really hard.

So, yes, in case you didn't know, I'm pregnant and due in August. Here we go!
