Escaping

Movies I've recently watched (and enjoyed). Maybe you'll enjoy them, as well.

A French film about a girl who runs away (after her mom goes missing) to go on an adventure with her unsuspecting neighbor (a grumpy, old butterfly collector). The little girl is so stinkin' adorable.

Jess and I saw this one at Kennedy School in Portland. I'm not sure if the beer and the atmosphere had something to do with it, but we had a blast.

Um, eighties fashions, cassette tapes, and an amusement park...it's like my childhood dreams come true. Well, minus all the making out and weed.

All you need is love.
Blogging, cooking, and almost thirty angst. Wait, is this my life?

Guy's with the wrong girl, invents a flying deckchair contraption, escapes life with the wrong girl. Sexy Australian accents for your listening pleasure.

I just love Zooey Deschanel. That's all.

Loved Sunshine Cleaning, Away We God, and (500) Days of Summer. Julie and Julia was good too. Haven't seen the others.

I saw Julie and Julia...twice.
Then I promptly bought the book, and read that too.

Julie's mental, overly-emotional tantrums and breakdowns spoke to my heart. :)

Julia's feisty I'll-show-them attitude was like looking into a mirror.

Cooper,

I figure I would like Adam when I watched the trailer a while back. With your recommendation, I'll definitely check it out! Thanks!!

I think you should see G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. It's a little independent film, so you might have to head into S.F. to find a place that's showing it, but I heard it's going to get quite a lot of attention at the Oscars.

Nice, Michael. Did you make your wife watch that movie? :)

Haha, I will never watch that movie. Not even on DVD. I used to watch the cartoon as a kid but that movie looks horrendous.
