I went to see Yellow Jackets at Berkeley Rep on Saturday. I'm very glad I went. Berkeley Rep makes me smile because:
- They have half-off tickets for people under 30. Yay for that.
- They have bins for tossing the 100% recycled paper towels, napkins, and cups, which then travel to the compost heap.
- The people are warm and kind.
- The shows are innovative.
- The concession stand sells mostly local, organic, and sustainable refreshments.
- The theaters are intimate but not stuffy.
- It's clear that many of the "season ticket" holders have been attending their productions for years.
- It's oh-so-Berkeley.

Sherry, I found your blog from someone else's blog, I am so glad that I did, I love reading about your life and your struggles. I have prayed for you all weekend.

Hi Rachel! I'm so glad you said "hi." Thank you so much for your encouragement. Congratulations on your little guy; I managed to completely miss that!
Speaking of green, a shower gift came in the mail today from Macy's. It was surrounded by packing peanuts that were made entirely of corn and potato starch. I nibbled one, and, sure enough, completely edible! And totally green.
Lovely, Jessica.
