2006:
January robbed me of my sleep. I was very concerned about a precious, struggling student.
In February, I tried to date. I failed.
March marked my first “mental health” day. I didn’t think I would make it until June. I laid my head on my desk and wept.
April: We tried to start a book club. We read a book.
May is the month of mothers. And of begging Kimberly to live with me.
In June, Jessica and I took a trip to Ashland, Oregon for the Shakespeare Festival. We’re making a tradition out of it!
July made me question my decision to teach summer school. Was it the rat?
August marked the end of summer school, 2 weeks off, and the beginning of a new school year. Babies Hope and Chandler made their debuts in August, as well! Damn, I sure do like those kids.
September was the month of the big move, marked by a feeling of being very alive. It’s also the month that I introduced Kimberly to the song “Gonna Have a Party” by Alabama. She hasn’t been the same since.
In October, I was still in shock that honors kids do their homework and listen when I talk. We had a trick-or-treater this month, too.
November is the month I decided not to teach summer school this summer.
December was special because I saw my dear ol’ college friends. It felt like not a moment had passed since the days when we were hanging out in Lancer Arms Apartment 13.

We actually had 3 trick-or-treaters...two children and a father...the father made us give him candy too. Anywhoo, Brandon and I are engaged to anyone who didn't know. (Sherry didn't think it was "her place" to tell any of you fine followers of her blog, so I'm telling you.)
February sucks.
How fun to see the year in review! I would do this, too, if I had any kind of working memory.
i love your blog! you're a great blogger. good year recap. peace out
Congratulations Kimberly!! sorry this is late, but I just got back in the country! Love you sherry! :)
